Ci sono Edith Piaf e Yves Montand, ci sono Gioacchino Rossini e Georges Bizet, Paul Eluard e Max Ernst, Guillame Apollinarie e Marcel Proust, Oscar Wilde e Isadora Duncan. Ma ieri all ingresso del Père Lachaise, nessuna delle tombe di questi grandi ha avuto visite. Ieri era l anniversario, il trentesimo, della scomparsa di Jim Morrison, leader e cantante dei Doors, icona rock per eccellenza, e migliaia di giovani, da tutte le parti del mondo, si erano dati appuntamento al cimitero degli artisti, per andare a rendere ancora una volta omaggio al leggendario rocker americano, morto a Parigi, il 3 luglio del 1971 a 27 anni. Ragazzi che visitano la tomba di Morrison ce ne sono sempre, tutti i giorni. Ma ieri tra loro c era anche Ray Manzarek, tastierista e compositore dei Doors, amico di Jim. Manzarek arriva al Père Lachaise nel primissimo pomeriggio, e i ragazzi all ingresso, come quelli che si accalcano attorno alla tomba di Morrison, lo riconoscono subito. C è chi urla, chi lo vuole abbracciare, chi riesce a farsi dare un autografo, seguendolo nei viali del cimitero. Poi tutti gli fanno largo, lo lasciano arrivare davanti alla pietra dove è inciso il nome di James Douglas Morrison e lì Ray Manzarek, lui che ha avuto il tempo per invecchiare, tace, pensa, forse ricorda. Non sapremmo dire, davvero, se c è commozione negli occhi del musicista, di certo per lui Morrison non era l icona che oggi in molti venerano: Io l icona non so nemmeno cosa sia, io conoscevo l uomo, dice a chi gli chiede un pensiero su Morrison, lui era quello che dormiva nel letto accanto quando io e Dorothy non avevamo un soldo, lui era il mio compagno di scuola a San Francisco. Gli chiedono di parlare ancora, scattano innumerevoli foto, le videocamere riprendono tutto, ma lui, con fare timido e con molti sorrisi, ringrazia e si allontana, tra qualche applauso e qualche urlo. E una giornata curiosa per me, ci dice Manzarek, è un misto di gioia e di malinconia. La gioia è quella di vedere che la musica dei Doors è straordinariamente viva, la malinconia è sapere, allo stesso tempo, che nulla potrà mai essere come allora. Il tastierista dei Doors se ne va, ma attorno alla tomba di Morrison la celebrazione continua. Ci sono ragazzi giovanissimi, molti dei quali non erano nemmeno nati quanto Morrison scalava le classifiche con brani come my fire Pochi, pochissimi, i vecchi che accendono incensi, bevono birra, lasciano biglietti, poesie, pensieri. Nessuno stranamente rinnova il rito della sempre molto seguito sulla tomba di Jim. Alcuni provano a mettersi a suonare, ma arrivano subito i guardiani del cimitero e li invitano a smettere. C è chi accenna una protesta, chi aspetta che inizi una rissa. Ma oggi non è il caso, non fa niente, perché basta uscire dal Père Lachaise per essere sommersi dal suono elettrico della musica dei Doors, suonata da una band per strada, sul marciapiede del bar gestito dai fan di Morrison di fronte al cimitero. I ragazzi della band cantano e suonano a tutto volume, bloccando il traffico, chiamando a raccolta i fan vecchi e nuovi di un cantante morto giovane e mai dimenticano.Poi chiamalo Pippo, Pluto o Paperino non cambia di una virgola la constatazione, ovvia per me ma non così ovvia evidentemente, che quello che era rock classico nel 1985 non lo può ancora essere 25 anni dopo.
